Mark William Clark
1956-2018
October 10, 2018, Mark William Clark, 62, of Wilmington, MA and Seacoast NH, passed away suddenly. Mark was raised in Medfield, MA, graduating from Medfield High School in 1974. In 1975 Mark joined the US Navy serving in the submarine fleets: USS Tullibee SSN-597, USS Glenard P Lipscomb SSN-685, USS Philadelphia SSN-690 and the USS Shark SSN-591. He was honorably discharged from active service in 1987. Mark was a Life Member of the United States Submarine Veterans association (USSVI) and of it’s Marblehead Base as well as the USS Tullibee Association. During his professional career, Mark held a variety of senior facilities and engineering management positions as well as provided specialized consulting to many prominent Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical companies in the Boston and Cambridge area. Mark earned a variety of professional credentials from the University of New Hampshire and Northeastern University, including designations as a Certified Plant Maintenance Manager, Certified Hazard Recognition Specialist and a Certified Fire Alarm ITM Specialist. Mark was an active member of the Association for Facilities Engineers (AFE) and served as a regional Vice President and as an instructor within the AFE’s Certified Professional Maintenance Manager program. Mark is survived by his wife, Nancee Jenne Clark of Wilmington, MA and Seacoast NH, and his beloved children: Jennifer Clark of Millis, MA, and sons John and Logan Manning; Brenda Clark Elwell and husband Todd of Holliston, MA, and their girls, Charlotte & Catherine; and Ashley Garcia Clark & her partner Kenneth Calise, Providence, RI, and girls, Arianna Garcia and Maliyah Calise. He also leaves his brother Anthony and his wife, Pam Winters of Yorba Linda, CA.
